Agile Transformation Manager

    The Agile Center of Excellence (Agile CoE) Manager is responsible for leading the Agile CoE team and supporting the Chorus Program Board of Directors by:

    • Driving Agile adoption and transformation at a strategic program level, acting as an internal transformation partner for the entire program.

    • Collaborating with the JMO, MTI, external partners, and Chorus Agile Scrum teams to foster Agile practices across all levels.

    Job Description

    Key Accountability 1: Standardizing Processes & Optimizing Program Assets

    • Establish and implement a standardized Agile operating model, including principles, terminology, and governance across the organization.
    • Promote Agile methodologies by creating an environment for experimentation, knowledge-sharing, and retrospectives to drive continuous learning.
    • Identify, document, and share best practices to help teams improve their Agile execution.
    • Maximize resource utilization, ensuring that tools, employees, and managers effectively support Agile transformation.
    • Act as a transformation enabler, leveraging lessons learned to guide teams toward high performance.
    • Influence and encourage Agile adherence through employee and manager engagement.

    Key Accountability 2: Governance, Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

    • Implement the Agile framework and best practices, track key metrics, and report progress against measurable benchmarks.
    • Monitor Agile transformation efforts, identifying and resolving roadblocks as needed.
    • Ensure Agile Scrum teams focus on delivering value efficiently, removing obstacles at individual, team, and organizational levels.
    • Facilitate workshops and collaboration sessions with JMO, MTI, and other change agents to drive Agile transformation.
    • Apply change management strategies, conduct maturity assessments, and introduce continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Address challenges in Agile adoption at program and Scrum-of-Scrum levels, resolving both process and people-related issues.
    • Lead by example, supporting teams and intervening when resistance to Agile practices arises.

    Key Accountability 3: Expertise in Agile Training & Troubleshooting

    • Provide Agile training and hands-on support for Scrum team members and managers, demonstrating the benefits of Agile methodologies.
    • Build internal Agile capabilities, developing a strong Agile community to ensure scalability and long-term sustainability.
    • Engage with the Agile community, sharing insights, and best practices, and exploring innovative approaches.
    • Offer continuous feedback on Agile implementation, refining strategies based on experience and real-world observations.

    Key Accountability 4: Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead and mentor the Agile Center of Excellence (ACoE) team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and Agile best practices, leveraging ACoE members to drive innovation within the organization.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Project Management, Technology, or a related field.
    • 4–6 years of experience leading Agile transformations across IT and non-IT projects.
    • Strong understanding of digital disruption drivers from both customer and organizational perspectives.
    • Proven experience in Agile transformation design and implementation.
    • Knowledge of technical best practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration, and DevOps.
    • Experience in coaching and training teams in Agile methodologies.
    • Active participation in the Agile community (e.g., publishing articles, speaking at conferences, contributing to Agile groups).
    • Strong ability to coach and mentor Agile practitioners and leaders.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.
