Area Sales Manager

    Role Purpose

    The Area Sales Manager will lead and develop a district team of Medical Representatives to consistently achieve or exceed business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, coaching, and compliance management, ensuring both short-term performance and long- term talent development within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the district sales team to deliver against established forecasts and call execution targets.
    • Collaborate with individual Medical Representatives to set challenging yet achievable goals for each territory.
    • Proactively identify and address obstacles that may hinder performance.
    • Monitor and assess both team and individual progress toward goals; provide coaching and actionable feedback.
    • Develop Medical Representatives by enhancing their sales capabilities and preparing them for future leadership roles (including Area Manager positions).
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including interactions with healthcare professionals and sample distribution.
    • Drive compliance and accountability across the team through effective first-line monitoring and corrective actions where required.

    Qualifications & Experience Essential

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medicine.
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an ETC Area Manager with a strong track record in pharmaceutical, biologic, or specialty healthcare sales.
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a high performing team.
    • Strong financial management, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

    Desirable

    • Previous exposure or experience in cross-functional roles such as Sales Training, Operations, Brand Team, or Managed Markets.
