Asia Contracting Leader

    Overview:
    Lead the contracting team across Asia to deliver a competitive, high-value product portfolio for key customer segments such as groups, FIT, in-destination, and educational travel. This role drives strategic sourcing, cost efficiency, supplier relationships, and long-term growth while aligning with global standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Strategic Procurement Leadership

    • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for hotel and local products.
    • Define annual contracting plans, timelines, and targets.
    • Enforce contracting policies, risk controls, and document standards.
    • Improve procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and increase competitiveness.
    • Lead or support key supplier negotiations to optimize contract value.
    • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships and conduct annual reviews.
    • Implement and ensure compliance with global procurement SOPs and best practices.
    • Manage preferred supplier programs and ensure ROI for partners.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Global Land Supply, Content & Connectivity) to enhance buying strategies and connectivity solutions.

    2. Margin Optimization

    • Standardize contract analysis to boost negotiation outcomes.
    • Strengthen value proposition and preferred partner performance.
    • Introduce tracking models for overrides and financial forecasting with Finance.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on margin-driving initiatives and marketing funds.
    • Shift suppliers to more efficient payment methods (e.g., VCC) when applicable.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years in travel procurement, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
    • Strong knowledge of travel markets and supplier dynamics.
    • Proven ability to build strategies and lead multi-location teams.
    • Experience implementing regional best practices and processes.
