1. REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automation Control Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, service, design, or installation of automation systems within automotive manufacturing environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, control components, and sensors (e.g., MCB, MCCB, relays, VFDs, Remote I/O, PLCs, HMIs, valves, robots, etc.).
- Skilled in programming Rockwell PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience with Ethernet IP communication for I/O devices.
- Capable of interpreting and updating electrical schematics.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD for electrical design and draSing tasks.
- Language Proficiency: Strong English communication skills.
2. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Programming experience in C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with Kawasaki robots, Rockwell PLCs, and HMIs.
- Familiarity with standards and practices in North America and the European Union.
- Basic understanding of problem-solving tools like 5D, 8D, and FMEA.
- Knowledge of various welding technologies (e.g., spot welding, laser welding, MIG/MAG) used in automotive production.
- Basic skills in designing welding fixtures for Body Shop applications.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment within the Body Shop, including robotic systems, PLCs, automated fixtures, conveyors, and welding equipment.
- Root Cause Analysis and Improvement:
- Investigate equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Document problem-solving efforts using 5D and 8D methodologies.
- Equipment Design and Development:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new equipment—including mechanical, electrical, and control aspects—for the Body Shop.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment and processes.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer:
- Train maintenance personnel on topics such as electrical systems, PLCs, and robot programming.
- Promote best practices and share technical expertise to strengthen team competencies.
