As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your duties will encompass the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to coordinating the closure of new business deals.
The ideal candidates must have a robust sales background and proven experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry. They should be adept at networking and building long-term relationships. Additionally, they must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, possess strong negotiation and project management skills, and excel in both hunting and farming strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Identifying new sales opportunities and engaging prospects with a value-added approach;
- Proven ability to sell solutions, address complex customer requirements, and deliver effective solutions;
- Developing and implementing a sales strategy, including market analysis, customer segmentation, and tailored action plans;
- Adopting a consultative approach, serving as an advisor on our sustainable and optimized transport packaging solutions and services;
- Proactively ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining close engagement with clients;
- Collaborating closely with other entities and departments, including engineering, sourcing, customer service, and manufacturing;
- Accurately forecasting distribution and volume targets, managing the sales pipeline, and providing comprehensive reporting.
Key requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree (preferably in Packaging, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in B2B full-cycle sales, preferably within a multinational context.
- Experience in both proactive sales (acquisition of new customers) and key account management.
- At least 5 years of sales experience, ideally within the packaging industry, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
- Preference for experience in project management.
- Proficient in both English and Japanese languages.
