Business Intelligence Competency Center Director

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Strategy, Planning & Budgeting

    • Define the long-term vision and development model for the BICC, shifting focus towards advanced analytics.

    • Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-impact service delivery.

    • Convert organizational capabilities into actionable knowledge to identify the right customer sets.

    2. Advanced Analytics & Risk Scoring

    • Lead the development and implementation of score models (application, behavioral, credit risk) critical to the loan origination and risk assessment process.

    • Monitor and validate scorecards to ensure stability, performance quality, and accurate financial loan classification.

    • Build advanced analytics models to support business operations and create tangible value for the organization.

    3. Data Management & Governance

    • Supervise the centralized Data Warehouse, ensuring high data quality and integrity for reporting, exploration, and modeling purposes.

    • Manage complex reporting processes across all Divisions/Centers, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

    • Separate data management production functions from analytical insights generation to streamline operations.

    4. Leadership & People Development

    • Build and coach a diverse, high-performing team; train staff on both technical skills and business acumen.

    • Act as a thought leader, publishing related articles and representing the organization's data capabilities.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency within the BICC departments.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or Business Management.

    • Experience:

      • 15+ years of experience in Data Management & Analytics.

      • Proven track record of managing large teams within the Banking or Financial Services sector.

    • Technical Expertise:

      • Advanced proficiency in BI, Analytics, and Reporting tools (e.g., Netezza, SAS VA).

      • Strong ability in statistical analysis, scoring modeling strategy, and implementation.

    • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Lending and Credit Products business.

    • Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, oral/written communication, and the ability to build diverse teams.
