Chief Operating Officer (COO)

    Job Summary

    The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a strategic and operational leader responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling all operational aspects of our ride-hailing business. This includes managing the entire ride-hailing ecosystem from driver-partner acquisition and management to rider experience and day-to-day operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for building robust, data-driven systems that ensure a seamless and reliable experience for both our driver-partners and riders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operations Management & Strategy: Oversee all core operational functions,

      including supply (driver-partner) management, demand (rider) experience, and trip execution. Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service availability, trip completion rates, driver utilization, and rider satisfaction. Drive operational excellence by continuously identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices. Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and optimize the operational flywheel.

    • Supply & Driver-Partner Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for driver-partner acquisition, onboarding, training, and retention. Lead efforts to ensure a healthy and balanced supply of driver-partners to meet rider demand at all times. Manage driver-partner support channels and implement programs to enhance driver welfare and engagement.

    • Rider Experience & Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of the rider experience, from booking to drop-off. Implement robust quality control measures to ensure safety, reliability, and service consistency. Utilize rider feedback and data to identify pain points and drive improvements in the user journey.

    • Expansion & Market Launch: Lead the operational planning and execution for new market launches. Develop a playbook for entering new cities, including localized strategies for driver recruitment, pricing, and marketing. Work closely with the CEO/Country Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure a successful launch and rapid scaling in new territories.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

    • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a ride-hailing, e-commerce, or logistics company.

    • Proven track record of building and scaling operational systems in a fast-paced, high- growth environment.

    • Deep understanding of operational metrics, data analysis, and their application to business decisions.

    • Strong experience in managing a large and diverse workforce, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
