Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing Customs Broker Suppliers:
- Oversee cross-border B2C customs clearance brokers.
- Evaluate compliance and operational capabilities based on a standardized supplier management system.
- Provide recommendations to the procurement team.
2. Operational Management of Customs Brokers:
- Monitor and follow up on the performance of each B2C customs broker at various ports, from airplane landing to last-mile collection.
- Address and resolve operational issues to ensure a seamless logistics experience for customers.
3. Ensuring B2C Customs Compliance:
- Track and respond to policy changes related to B2C customs clearance, including Type 86 & ECCF.
- Collect and relay feedback to the company.
- Assist the FM (air) Transport Department and Customs Affair Department in system and process optimization.
4. Managing Customs Brokers Costs:
- Work with the financial team on daily reimbursements, dispute resolution, and other customs clearance cost-related activities.
5. Optimizing Customs Clearance Costs and Time:
- Participate in projects focused on reducing customs clearance time and costs.
- Empower customs brokers to improve overall B2C shipping efficiency, including hands-on involvement at customs brokers' bonded warehouses.
6. Developing the Team:
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge of customs regulations.
Required Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
- Associate Degree or higher.
- Customs Broker License (CBL).
2. Professional Experience:
- At least 3 years in a customs-related role.
- Strong understanding of US import operations and processing trade, with specific experience in B2C customs.
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP (TMS/WMS), and E Custom Clearance Software.
5. Language Skills:
- Knowledge of Chinese is advantageous.
6. Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities for effective interaction with customs and other government agencies.
