Customs Affairs Supervisor

    About the Role:
    We are looking for a Customs Affairs Supervisor to lead and enhance our import/export operations, manage bonded warehouse procedures, and ensure full compliance with Vietnam's evolving customs regulations. This position plays a key leadership role, requiring a proactive executor with a strategic mindset focused on optimizing clearance efficiency and minimizing costs.
    You will leverage your hands-on customs experience, regulatory insights, and vendor management capabilities to serve as a key liaison between customs authorities, internal stakeholders, and third-party service providers, ensuring seamless and compliant cross-border logistics operations.


    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Regulatory Tracking & Policy Advisory

    • Monitor and interpret customs and tax policies in Vietnam related to cross-border transactions.
    • Deliver policy updates and strategic recommendations to internal teams.

    2. Customs Operations Supervision

    • Oversee daily customs clearance procedures, particularly for bonded warehouse shipments.
    • Address clearance bottlenecks, offering effective resolutions to minimize delays and compliance risks.
    • Drive initiatives to improve clearance speed and reduce operational costs.

    3. Process Optimization

    • Identify inefficiencies in customs workflows and lead cross-functional efforts to implement improvements.
    • Enhance system integration and documentation processes.

    4. Vendor Oversight

    • Manage customs brokers and logistics service providers.
    • Provide training, clarify operational requirements, and conduct periodic performance evaluations.

    5. Bonded Warehouse Compliance

    • Maintain accurate bonded warehouse inventory records.
    • Investigate discrepancies and ensure ledger accuracy to meet compliance standards.

    6. Government Relations

    • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with customs authorities to support smooth operations and timely resolution of regulatory issues.

    Requirements Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Customs, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years of experience in customs operations or declarations, ideally involving bonded warehouses or cross-border e-commerce.
    • Proven experience in a supervisory or team-leading capacity.

    Languages:

    • Fluency in both Vietnamese and Chinese is essential for internal communication and regulatory engagement.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, HS code classification, taxation, rules of origin, and preferential trade policies.
    • A customs broker certification or equivalent proficiency is preferred.

    Location:

    • Long An Province – Xuyen A Industrial Park, My Hanh Bac Commune, Duc Hoa District

    Work Schedule:

    • 6 days/week (day shifts only)

    Languages Required:

    • Chinese & Vietnamese – mandatory

    Compensation Package:

    • Competitive base salary paid over 12 months
    • 2-month annual bonus based on performance
