Job Purpose
The Data Engineering Manager and Architect plays an important part in data team. The role is multifaceted, with responsibility for the Data Engineering team and its employees, as well as technical oversight of the data products being developed. Being involved in initiatives all over the globe (Asia Pacific, Europe, and beyond) necessitates a high degree of adaptability and versatility in order to meet the many demands that come into the team. The ongoing expansion of the current team's capability and technical ability is critical. Being calm and focused while navigating a complicated issue area will allow for effective problem solving in this position.
JOB DESCRIPTON
- Proven ETL design and implementation expertise
- Design and modeling of databases (multidimensional, 3NF, data vault)
- Agile approach and tool experience (Jira, confluence)
- Developing Development Standards
- Taking charge of growth tasks
- Developer recruitment and instruction
- Team learning should be encouraged.
- Identifying commercial prospects
- Topics of reporting and visualization must be understood and driven.
- Serve as a primary source of communication for regional data needs
- Understanding of the insurance industry, ABS Knowledge (Desirable)
- Knowledge of how to use containerized platforms for production (Desirable)
- Kafka Knowledge (data merging in near real time) (Desirable)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of Data expertise
- 3+ years of team leadership experience Agile methodology
- Significant expertise in one or more of the areas listed below;
- Data Warehouse
- ETL
- Dimensional Modelling
- Data Vault 2.0
- Amazon Web Services
- Data Science
- Working knowledge of topic area and technical specialists
- Superior speaking and relationship abilities
- Oral and written proficiency in English language
- Developer mentoring and guidance
- Stakeholder administration
- Maintains abilities and transfers information where feasible
