Responsibilities:
- Data Solutioning
- Design, implement, and evaluate cutting-edge ML/DL models to solve complex business problems, ensuring alignment with business KPIs.
- Build advanced analytics solutions, including recommendation engines, personalized models, and other AI-powered applications.
- Drive adoption of Machine Learning and Big Data techniques across multiple journeys and squads, fostering innovation.
- Oversee the execution of complex Data Science projects in an agile, compliant, and business-driven manner.
Data Insighting
- Lead the discovery of meaningful, actionable insights from massive and diverse datasets in close partnership with business stakeholders.
- Establish processes and tools for continuous model performance monitoring and prediction accuracy evaluation.
- Facilitate cross-squad discussions (3+ squads) to uncover new opportunities for Data Science applications.
- Partner with Data Engineers to design sophisticated algorithms that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain deep awareness of your datasets, distributions, outliers, conversion rates, and sanity checks to validate model integrity and business relevance.
Project Management
- Take ownership of projects end-to-end: managing priorities, keeping teams aligned, and focusing on quick wins with measurable impact.
- Navigate project conflicts, evolving requirements, and challenges to keep delivery on time, high quality, and business-relevant.
- Collaborate with leads to resolve team bottlenecks, perform root cause analyses, and implement continuous improvement practices.
Talent Development
- Lead, inspire, and retain a team of Data Scientists, fostering both technical and career growth.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level scientists into high-performing, autonomous contributors.
- Promote a culture of curiosity, innovation, and excellence in Data Science.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Analysis,
- Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related numerical disciplines.
- Experience in data analysis, ML/DL model development on large-scale datasets, and deployment of advanced statistical models.
- Proven expertise in Python, R, Spark, Scala, SQL, Java, or C/C++ with deep knowledge of querying.
- Strong track record in building data-driven products, advanced analytics solutions, and statistical modeling.
- Experience applying Machine Learning and AI in financial markets or other high-impact business domains.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge technology and business in discussions with senior leadership.
- Proficient in Agile principles and Scrum methodologies, with demonstrated success managing complex Data Science projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring, team building, and driving scientific excellence.
