Responsibilities
- General accounting foundation: Strong experience with GL, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals/prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, and AP/AR.
- Financial reporting: Ability to prepare financial statements under VAS and understand Group/IFRS logic, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and on-time deadlines.
- Manufacturing costing (must-have): Experience in cost accounting in a production environment: BOM, cost allocation, standards/quotas, WIP vs. finished goods, materials, and inventory movement.
- Relevant industry exposure: Preferably FMCG/food manufacturing/oil/factory production (large-scale manufacturing).
- Tax, compliance & controls: Knowledge of tax regulations and documentation; ability to support audits with proper internal controls and file storage; exposure to SOX/group controls is a plus.
- Month-end/year-end closing & reporting: Organize closing on time, investigate discrepancies, explain variances, and improve/automate reporting processes to reduce cycle time.
- Financial analysis & dashboards (plus): Analyze drivers behind cost/price/stock changes (slow-moving items, production variances) and build dashboards (e.g., Power BI/advanced Excel).
- Inventory & cost control: Reconcile material/finished goods, work with Production on cost variances, handle stocktakes and issues like aging/obsolete stock/yield loss.
- ERP/SAP experience: Hands-on ERP usage, SAP preferred implementation/UAT/master data and allocation rules.
- Leadership & cross-functional coordination: Manage ~8+ accounting staff, coach and ensure quality, partner with Production/Procurement/SAP/Tax/Audit; strong communication (including English) and pressure handling during closing/audit.
