Design Director

    1. Job Objective

    The Design Director is responsible for managing, organizing, and coordinating all architectural and planning design activities for the Group’s projects—ensuring quality, progress, creativity, and investment efficiency. At the same time, this role focuses on building and developing a professional in-house design team, applying advanced technologies and modern design trends.

    2. Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Planning & Design Progress Control

    • Develop overall design plans and schedules for each project and submit them for approval by the Executive Board.

    • Oversee and monitor the implementation of design works in accordance with approved timelines, standards, and directions.

    Design Management & Coordination

    • Lead, resolve and adjust plans within the management scope to ensure progress and quality.

    • Handle major issues arising during implementation that exceed the authority of subordinate levels.

    • Closely coordinate with other technical departments (Structure, MEP, Infrastructure, Interior, etc.) to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the overall design.

    Quality & Design Standards Management

    • Review and approve design documents in all stages (Concept, Schematic, Detail Design).

    • Ensure design outputs comply with technical standards, legal requirements, and the Group’s branding orientation.

    Team Development & Technical Capability

    • Build, train, and develop a highly competent in-house team of architects.

    • Research and apply new technologies, materials, and design trends in projects.

    • Maintain a creative, professional, and efficient working culture within the design department.

    Other Tasks

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Board.

    • Represent the design department in project meetings, present design concepts, and defend proposals before appraisal councils/committees.

    3. Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Planning, or related fields.

    • Experience:

      • Minimum 8–10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a management or architectural design leadership role.

      • Priority for candidates who previously held the role of Design Director / Technical Director at international design/consulting firms or major real estate corporations.

    • Professional Knowledge:

      • Strong expertise in architectural design, urban planning, aesthetics, materials, and construction technologies.

      • Solid understanding of design standards, construction regulations, and real estate development processes.

    • Skills:

      • Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

      • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical disciplines and international consulting partners.

      • Proficient in English for work (reading – writing – communication – presentation).

    4. Personal Qualities

    • Strategic and creative mindset with strong aesthetic sense.

    • Ability to orient design in alignment with brand vision and product development strategy of the Group.

    • Professional, detail-oriented, proactive, and responsible working style.
