Chief Technology Officer

    Location: HCM City

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Business Planning & Execution
    • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Software Segment in alignment with the strategy formed by the ES Leadership Team and Key Stakeholders to achieve the long-term/short-term business targets/objectives.
    • Provide leadership in identifying, assessing, and managing technology needs within an
    organization.
    • Advise senior leadership on business opportunities arising from the market.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the Software Segment.


    Stakeholders Management
    • Build strategic relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for strategic planning with stakeholders.
    • Manage critical stakeholders' changes in needs and priorities.
    • Advise stakeholders toward reaching mutual agreement on expectations.
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination between the Internal & Sales Support
    Segment and stakeholders.


    Enable Innovation to improve goals
    • Foster an environment conducive to innovation and technological change.
    • Set the direction for research as well as a framework for measuring innovation research
    outcomes.
    • Evaluate new technology approaches to redesign systems or optimize performance, quality, and speed of services and/or products.


    Operations Management
    • Identify, develop, and oversee operational strategies, policies, processes, and standards within the Software Segment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Provide the leadership and management necessary within the Software Segment to achieve business targets/objectives.
    • Develop and manage the budget assigned to the Software Segment.
    • Ensure cost-effective operations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution effectively.
    • Lead the risk management activities in the Software Segment to identify risks, and define methods for risk prevention, mitigation, and correction activities.


    Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Define, develop, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the service performance.
    • Prepare and present reports on the Internal & Sales Support Segment’s operations status, leading indicators, and areas for improvement.
    • Implement corrective actions when necessary to address performance issues.

    People Management
    • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
    • Develop strategies for resource planning and utilization.
    • Oversee the development of learning roadmaps for the Segment members.
    • Implement succession planning initiatives for key management positions.
    • Build a cohesive environment to leverage people engagement and team collaborations.

    Collaboration and Coordination
    • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and teamwork across all levels of the organization.
    • Collaborate with other directors and department heads to align activities with ESVN initiatives.
    • Work closely with the back office team, including HR, Finance, IT, Quality& Lean to ensure seamless integration and support of ESVN operations.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and strategy sessions to drive collective success.


    Desired skills and experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science or Engineering). Advanced degree preferred
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Development or related fields; demonstrating strong leadership abilities is required and solid experience in a Division Head role.
    • Strong understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent strategic planning and operational management abilities.
    • Proven experience in managing offshore development centers or large software development teams.
    • Knowledge of software development industry trends and emerging technologies.
    • Embody leadership qualities that are highly aligned with Simpson’s Nine Core Values.
