Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define the overall technology strategy and end to end solution architecture across applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and client technology roadmaps.
- Evaluate technical decisions and design approaches to support long term sustainability.
Engineering Leadership & Delivery
- Lead architecture, engineering, and delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Oversee technical governance, design reviews, delivery quality, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure non functional requirements are met, including security, performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical contact for senior client stakeholders and technology leaders.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and executive discussions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non technical audiences.
Solution Consulting & Requirements
- Translate business requirements into feasible technical solutions and architecture designs.
- Advise clients on technology selection, implementation approaches, and business process alignment.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and solution design artifacts.
Program Coordination & Delivery Alignment
- Coordinate product, engineering, architecture, security, platform, and vendor teams across multiple delivery streams.
- Ensure consistency across core banking, cards, payments, digital channels, integrations, and data platforms.
- Align internal, client, and offshore teams to resolve blockers and accelerate delivery.
Engineering Excellence & Innovation
- Drive modern engineering practices across microservices, distributed systems, Kafka, cloud native technologies, CI/CD, DevOps, and automation.
- Embed security and compliance into architecture and delivery processes.
- Promote AI assisted engineering across development, testing, refactoring, and documentation while maintaining quality and security standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Leadership & Consulting
- 10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, such as CTO, Technical Director, Principal Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Consultant.
- Proven experience leading large scale technology programs and multiple engineering teams.
- Strong client facing consulting skills, executive communication, and decision making capabilities.
Technical Expertise
- Strong hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and API driven architecture.
- Solid expertise in microservices, distributed systems, Kafka, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, scalability, performance optimization, and system resiliency.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in banking or FinTech, particularly core banking modernization, payments, cards, risk and compliance, or digital channels.
- Understanding of financial services regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Excellent presentation, technical documentation, and stakeholder influencing skills.
- Ability to lead global, offshore, and remote engineering teams.
- Proven experience working with international clients.
