Engineering Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support software development teams by combining hands-on technical expertise with team leadership
    • Initially manage one team with the potential to scale responsibilities across multiple teams
    • Engage directly in coding, code reviews, and architecture design, while promoting continuous improvement and engineering best practices
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and engineering stakeholders to design and deliver scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives
    • Mentor and grow team members through one-on-one coaching, feedback sessions, and career development planning
    • Actively participate in development tasks, such as coding, pair programming, and maintaining high code quality
    • Take part in engineering hiring efforts and represent the company in external tech branding and PR initiatives
    • Help shape the technical culture and values within the engineering organization
    • Contribute to organizational structure and strategy to support business and product scalability
    • Identify organizational issues and lead initiatives to improve productivity, culture, and team performance
    • Facilitate effective communication across global teams in both English and Japanese contexts (where applicable)

    Job Requirements:

    • Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, managing software development teams with successful delivery outcomes
    • Demonstrated success as an Engineering Manager, particularly in managing complex requirements and driving results
    • Hands-on experience as a software engineer, with the ability to contribute to and review advanced codebases
    • Skilled in technology evaluation, architectural planning, and infrastructure setup across teams or multiple projects
    • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development practices and experience leading teams in such environments
    • Capable of balancing both technical leadership and people management responsibilities
    • Strong English communication skills for meetings, collaboration, and technical discussions

    Interview Process:

    • R1: Technical assignment (online coding test)
    • R2: Online English speaking + writing sample test
    • R3: Technical interview (with Peer and Tech Lead)
    • R4: Final interview (with CTO)

    Salary range: Up to VND 150,000,000
