As part of our new campaign spotlighting EV Search consultants, we are proud to launch a special interview series inspired by the National Motto of Vietnam “Independence - Freedom - Happiness”. This initiative gives our consultants the space to share their career journeys, personal insights, and reflections on what independence, freedom and happiness means to them.
At EV Search, we believe happiness is more than a moment - it’s about balance, fulfillment, and the joy that comes from meaningful connections in both work and life.
We had the opportunity to speak with two of our colleagues: Ms. Nhi Le, Associate Recruitment Consultant from the HCM ICT Team – TL3, and Mr. Andrew Yit, Associate Recruitment Consultant. Together, they shared what happiness means to them, and how it shapes their careers and everyday lives.
Let’s begin with the core question. What does happiness mean to you?
Ms. Nhi Le: Happiness for me is about balance: finding motivation and meaning at work while enjoying small joys in daily life. At EV Search, I feel supported by a positive team where we can share knowledge, open up about challenges, and truly care for one another. Outside of work, simple things such as playing with my cats or cooking a new dish also bring me peace and energy. To me, happiness comes from these little yet meaningful moments.
Mr. Andrew Yit: Happiness for me comes from the freedom to grow, the independence to create impact, and the fulfillment of helping others thrive. At EV Search, I’ve witnessed how freedom at work isn’t about going solo. It’s about taking proactive responsibility, supported by a team that trusts and empowers. Though HR wasn’t my original path, that independence to explore and learn has led me to a career I truly love, bridging talent with opportunity, fostering culture, and shaping stories of growth and alignment every day.
That’s inspiring. How do you experience this sense of happiness at work, especially here at EV Search?
Ms. Nhi Le: Happiness at work comes from the encouragement and support I receive daily. I know I can count on my teammates not only to share expertise but also to listen and empathize. That environment gives me motivation and makes every challenge easier to face.
Mr. Andrew Yit: For me, happiness at work comes from knowing that what I do has real impact. Every successful match between talent and opportunity is not just a result - it’s a meaningful connection that shapes someone’s future. That fulfillment, paired with a supportive team, makes my work deeply rewarding.
Their reflections remind us that happiness, whether in life, in work, or as a nation - is not just about joy, but about balance, meaning, and the connections that keep us grounded and inspired.
