Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finance, accounting, and commercial finance operations in Malaysia, ensuring full compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
- Optimize indirect tax and customs costs across the supply chain, including SST, import duties, and landed cost management.
- Lead ASEAN-wide financial consolidation, aligning accounting policies, reporting standards, and intercompany transactions across regional subsidiaries.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and in-depth cost variance analysis for the Group Finance Director, ensuring clear visibility of margins and business performance.
- Strengthen internal controls and cash flow management across high-volume manufacturing, trading, and inventory-intensive operations.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights to improve commercial efficiency and support group-level growth.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Big 4 background in audit or tax advisory, with experience at PwC, EY, KPMG, or Deloitte.
- Strong post-Big 4 commercial finance experience in manufacturing, trading, or distribution environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, SST, customs, and inventory valuation.
- Proven experience managing cross-border ASEAN consolidation and multi-currency group reporting.
- Active professional accounting qualification or membership with MIA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ICAEW.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate manufacturing, supply chain, and operational metrics into strategic insights for senior management.
