Reporting to: Business Unit Director
Role Summary:
This is a senior management role within the Business Unit, responsible for leading a specific franchise. The position entails full ownership of business strategy, planning, marketing, and sales execution for the assigned portfolio. The focus is on driving sustainable revenue and profit growth, enhancing commercial excellence, and building future leadership capabilities within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong sales and marketing leadership to achieve portfolio P&L targets.
- Develop portfolio strategy rooted in scientific insights and market understanding to drive brand growth.
- Manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective inventory management and diagnostic (Dx) landscape development.
- Optimize sales force deployment aligned with strategic priorities and performance targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through structured performance management and talent development.
- Build a pipeline of future leaders for commercial roles.
- Drive strategic, cross-functional projects that support long-term business goals.
- Uphold ethical standards and compliance to safeguard organizational integrity.
People Management:
- Direct/indirect management of up to 50 team members across various levels.
- Role may include matrix management and second-line leadership responsibilities.
Geographical Scope:
- Primarily focused within the domestic market.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Proven track record in sales.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing leadership.
- Strong background in people and cross-functional management.
- Effective communication, budgeting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- MBA or similar advanced degree.
- Experience across multiple functions (e.g., sales training, brand management, operations).
- Exposure to regional/global roles.
