Job Description
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, strategic investments, partnerships, JVs, and M&A opportunities, particularly in Technology and AI.
- Conduct market and industry research to identify emerging trends, growth sectors, potential partners, and investment opportunities.
- Build financial models and business cases to evaluate feasibility, valuation, profitability, and investment returns.
- Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic assessments of potential investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and business initiatives.
- Support end-to-end transactions, including screening, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, deal structuring, and execution.
- Prepare investment proposals, business cases, financial analyses, and presentations for senior management and the Board.
- Build relationships with investors, strategic partners, technology/AI companies, financial institutions, and advisors.
- Develop partnerships with Chinese companies, leveraging Mandarin skills and knowledge of the Chinese business environment.
- Identify synergies between existing businesses and opportunities in AI, digital technology, software, data, and emerging technologies.
- Monitor technology and AI trends, business models, competitors, market dynamics, and investment activities.
- Advise management on strategic options for business expansion, investments, partnerships, and portfolio development.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Tax, Risk, and business teams throughout strategic transactions.
- Support financial, commercial, operational, and strategic due diligence processes.
- Participate in negotiations with partners, investors, and other counterparties.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations on business development, investments, transactions, and market trends.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of investment and business development opportunities across Indonesia, China, and international markets.
- Contribute to the company’s corporate finance and business development strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Investment Banking, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, Business Development, Investment Banking, M&A, Investment, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, valuation, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
- Proven experience evaluating business opportunities, strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A.
- Experience in Technology, AI, Digital, Software, Data, or emerging technologies is highly preferred.
- Experience with Chinese companies is strongly preferred.
- Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred, particularly for business negotiations and Chinese stakeholder management.
- International study or work experience, especially in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Chinese business and investment landscape is preferred.
- Experienced in market research, industry analysis, commercial due diligence, and financial feasibility assessment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate opportunities into actionable strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with financial modeling/data analysis experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
