Head of Business Development

     

    Overview:

    This is a pivotal, strategic leadership role that plays a critical part in expanding our client’s footprint in Poland. As the Head of Business Development, you will drive the growth agenda in one of the most dynamic e-commerce markets in Europe. This role goes beyond merchant acquisition—it's about shaping the future of the platform’s presence in Poland, building strategic alliances, and developing a robust commercial ecosystem that fuels long-term success.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Spearhead initiatives to identify, engage, and onboard top-tier local e-commerce sellers, ensuring a diverse and competitive product offering on the platform.
    • Establish and nurture strong, sustainable relationships with key suppliers and business partners to secure consistent supply and enhance assortment quality.
    • Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations with prospective merchants to secure advantageous terms and foster high-value collaborations.
    • Strategically map and activate business development channels across Poland, ensuring streamlined execution and cross-functional alignment to meet recruitment objectives.
    • Monitor market shifts, emerging digital commerce trends, and competitor movements through in-depth analysis of social platforms and industry reports; propose and execute data-driven strategies to unlock growth opportunities.

     

    Qualifications

    • Proven track record in developing commercial partnerships or building supply ecosystems in the Polish market, ideally within the e-commerce, digital marketplace, or tech industry.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in seller onboarding, vendor management, or marketplace expansion in Poland.
    • Fluent in English; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate cross-cultural environments.
    • Agile, self-driven, and results-focused; capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-performance setting.
    • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution abilities.
