Head of Engineering

    About the role:

    Engineering Leadership

    • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing engineering teams across multiple technology domains.
    • Foster a strong engineering culture rooted in innovation, agile best practices, and delivery excellence.
    • Establish and expand local technology Centres of Excellence in areas such as cloud, blockchain, and AI.
    • Enhance engineering productivity, tooling, and quality assurance through continuous improvement.

    Strategic Delivery & IDU Partnership

    • Manage capacity planning and oversight in collaboration with Professional Services Units (PSUs) and Country Units (CUs).
    • Contribute to presales efforts by shaping technical solutions, delivery strategies, and team structures.
    • Represent engineering needs in talent planning, mentoring, and capability development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Legal to maintain a compliant and high-performing work environment.

    Risk & Quality Management

    • Work with Risk & Quality teams to proactively identify, address, and escalate operational risks.
    • Ensure staffing and delivery meet defined quality standards and compliance requirements across global projects.

    Collaboration & Global Alignment

    • Partner with European and APAC stakeholders to harmonize engineering practices, delivery models, and resource strategies.
    • Support business development by advising on solution design, technology proposals, and rate card structures.

    Requirements

    • 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
    • Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams in international delivery settings.
    • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and modern engineering management practices.
    • Industry background in financial services or fintech is a plus.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Fluency in English and Vietnamese, Mandarin proficiency is a bonus.

    Benefits

    • Competitive salary, Salary band per level are reviewed once per year.
    • 13th month salary pro rata depending on the employee’s length of service (within a calender year), paid with the December salary.
    • Monthly lunch allowance: 700,000 VND/employee.
    • Performance evaluation is once per year.
