Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the company's financial strategy in line with overall business goals.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and support long-term business planning.
- Manage, coach, and develop the finance team to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Oversee the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting activities.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and support investment decision-making.
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and internal accounting policies.
- Supervise accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and cash management.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax requirements.
- Oversee statutory reporting and submissions to relevant government authorities.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Assess financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships to support business operations.
- Optimize cash flow planning and ensure sufficient funding availability.
- Evaluate financing strategies, credit facilities, and treasury-related initiatives.
Business Partnership & Commercial Support
- Collaborate with business leaders to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Provide insights on pricing, profitability, and cost optimization.
- Support business expansion plans, investment evaluations, and feasibility studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA qualification is highly preferred.
- MBA or postgraduate degree is an advantage.
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Exposure to multinational organizations, shared service environments, or regulated industries is preferred.
