Head of Procurement Department

    Description

     

    • Formulate and execute strategies within procurement and supply chain operations to enhance project execution success, particularly concerning the procurement of materials and equipment. 
    • Engage in the bidding process for external inquiries by offering procurement and supply chain solutions, estimates, and guidance to align with overall business objectives. 
    • Assess the requirements for products/equipment to be acquired and identify suitable suppliers, primarily local fabrication workshops, capable of delivering the required quality at competitive prices. 
    • Oversee the selection, awarding, and contracting processes for vendors, suppliers, or contractors to ensure compliance with company policies, global procurement and supply management (PSM) tools, and business needs. 
    • Collaborate with project execution teams until project completion and product delivery. 
    • Conduct market analysis and evaluate delivery systems to identify current and future material or procurement opportunities in both domestic and international markets. 
    • Foster and cultivate relationships internally within the company and externally with stakeholders such as suppliers, distributors, and fabrication workshops. 
    • Manage, expand, and assess the supplier database, including auditing potential suppliers. 
    • Establish and enhance relevant procurement processes and protocols to optimize operations while aligning with business objectives. 

    Experience (Education) 

     

    • A bachelor's degree in international business or a related field is required. 
    • A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) would be beneficial.

    Experience (Work) 

     

    • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in senior management roles is required. 
    • Extensive experience in procurement, particularly involving fabrication activities within heavy industries, is essential. 
    • A foundational understanding of heavy industry product drawings and the ability to identify fabrication workshops capable of production are necessary. 
    • Preferably, familiarity with procurement processes related to cement products or similar items is desired. 
    • Having experience with engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EP) projects is considered advantageous.
