JOB SUMMARY
This position will Head the Production function for a GW scale Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing Plant.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for Production management & control of Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing facility.
- Responsible for Manufacturing excellence measures to benchmark international competition on Cost, Quality and Delivery. Besides, he should be able to meet annual targets, e.g., BOM Consumption, OPEX cost reduction, quality improvements, OEE & TPM initiatives.
- Responsible for building a team of best-in-class industry resources and creating a pool of successors for future expansions.
- Preparation & management of departmental budgets
- Production line reviews, Communication meetings with associates & team leaders to ensure 100% production as per plan.
- Responsible for Proper Manpower Planning in the Ingot-Wafer area for smooth and safe operation.
- Leading role with the Process/quality department for implementing new/Improved processes.
- Responsible for engaging and developing large workforce of direct and contractual manpower.
- Ensuring day-wise & shift-wise delivery volume of tools to meet ABP targets.
- Scheduling various training on chemical/material handling and safety norms for operators and team members.
- Close Cooperation with the maintenance team to reduce Breakdown & increase UP TIME.
- Monthly WIP & Shop floor inventory analysis and corrective measures.
- Responsible for Chemical Distribution System operation & compliance as per safety and EHS norms.
- Responsible for QMS in Compliance with ISO 9000:2008, ISO 14001, OHAS :18001IEC 61215, STQC, JET, JIS.
- Implementation of TQM Concept on Shop Floor like 5S,3M, JIT, Suggestion Scheme, OEE, TPM, SMED Systems on Production Floor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/ MTech
- At least 20 years of experience
- Thorough Knowledge of various lean Manufacturing concepts especially in Silicon-based crystal growth techniques
- Experience in initiatives of various internal improvements like Kaizen and implementation at the manufacturing level towards safety/Productivity and cost reduction
- Knowledge of the crystal growth process and crystal quality issues and their impacts on the quality of the final product
- Knowledge of the Crystalline Silicon Wafer Manufacturing process. Experience in cell and module production processes will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO-Standards and procedures and Basic Safety Knowledge (Fire-safety, Waste Management, etc.)
- Good communication and Presentation skills
- Plant OEE improvement and enhance product quality/ Optimum BOM Consumption norms towards OPEX reduction.
- Development of a Highly motivated workforce with Multi Skill capability
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: Can be negotiated the company will provide accommodation.
- The company will provide two economy class airfare round trip tickets per year.

- 35 days annual leave + 10 public holidays (Monday to Saturday Working)
- Relocation expenses (Half container load via sea for personal belongings) to be reimbursed.
