Head of Technology (Expat)

    Overview

    The Head of Technology (Expat) will oversee all technology functions and innovation initiatives within the organization. This leadership role focuses on ensuring that the company’s strategic objectives are supported by forward-thinking, scalable, and effective technological solutions. The position requires a global outlook and the ability to align international best practices with local operational needs. A key focus will be guiding high-performing technical teams and fostering a culture of continuous innovation and excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Technology Leadership

    • Define and implement a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with organizational goals.
    • Identify emerging trends and integrate new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

    2. Team Development and Management

    • Lead, mentor, and expand a cross-functional technology team composed of engineers, developers, and technical experts.
    • Oversee end-to-end development projects, from early-stage planning through full deployment.

    3. Research & Innovation

    • Drive research and development programs to enhance product innovation, particularly in solar glass technology.
    • Engage with academic institutions and external research bodies to explore new materials and advanced processes.

    4. Quality and Compliance

    • Ensure all products and technologies meet relevant international standards and certifications.
    • Oversee adherence to regulatory frameworks at both domestic and international levels.

    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Coordinate with departments such as production, logistics, and commercial teams to align technological efforts with broader business objectives.
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and external technology partners to strengthen operational capacity.

    6. Risk, Safety & Sustainability

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental standards in all technical operations.
    • Champion risk management strategies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Deep expertise in solar glass technologies and manufacturing systems.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, especially in culturally diverse teams.
    • Proficiency in managing complex technical projects using modern tools and methodologies.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
    • Experience:
       
      • At least 15 years of professional experience in technology leadership roles.
      • Minimum 10 years in the renewable energy or manufacturing sector, including 5+ years in international or multicultural work environments.
      • Demonstrated success in managing cross-disciplinary teams and delivering significant technological advancements.
      • Experience with vendor management and technology budgeting.
