Position Summary:
The HR Director will lead and manage the human resources function for a large manufacturing organization, overseeing the development and execution of HR strategies that support business goals. This role will be responsible for talent acquisition, labor relations, employee engagement, compliance, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR systems, and organizational development across multiple sites or facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall mission, values, and business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on human capital, organizational development, and workforce planning.
Talent Management
- Lead company-wide talent acquisition initiatives, ensuring the recruitment of skilled talent in alignment with workforce needs.
- Oversee succession planning, career development programs, and leadership training to build bench strength.
Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Establish a strong employee relations culture that fosters trust, transparency, and open communication.
- Manage relationships with unions or labor representatives, if applicable, and lead collective bargaining efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and industry regulations
Performance & Culture
- Champion a high-performance culture through effective performance management, goal-setting, and continuous feedback systems.
- Promote and maintain an inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Analyze market data and benchmark compensation to attract and retain top talent.
HR Operations & Technology
- Optimize and lead HR operations and systems, ensuring efficient use of HR technologies (e.g., HRIS, ATS, etc.).
- Leverage analytics and HR metrics to inform decision-making and track organizational health.
Organizational Development
- Drive change management initiatives to support growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Lead employee engagement and internal communications strategies to improve retention and morale.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a large-size manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience managing HR across multi-site operations, including union and non-union workforces.
- Deep understanding of employment laws, labor relations, and manufacturing workforce dynamics.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English communication
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
