Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the daily upkeep of equipment used for the growth of silicon single crystals to fulfill operational and technological needs.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers and technicians to maximize equipment efficiency.
- Facilitate and assist with daily operations of the crystal technology team, ensuring tasks are completed with a unified objective of maintaining equipment health.
- Apply foundational knowledge of engineering management to lead the growth maintenance team, and mentor local engineers to meet industry standards.
- Monitor key parameters, compare equipment performance, and optimize each piece of equipment to minimize deviations.
- Implement predictive maintenance to proactively identify potential failures and their root causes in existing equipment.
- Use data analysis to offer engineering solutions that support quality assurance, customer complaint evaluations, process management, and troubleshooting.
- Develop a comprehensive training program to enhance the skills of local technical staff.
- Demonstrate the ability to improve both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational
- expenditure (OPEX) from an equipment maintenance perspective.
- Basic Qualifications
- Possessing a solid track record of operational excellence demonstrated over a span of 10 to 15 years. Exhibits a strong capacity for collaboration with fellow engineers. Exceptional skills in both verbal and written communication. Highly organized, self-driven, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference is given to those with a solid grasp of technical aspects related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment used in semi-conductors and solar applications. Proficiency in data analysis through engineering statistical methods is also desirable. The ideal candidate should be a team player, capable of collaborating with operators and technologists working on crystal pullers, as well as engineers from various departments. Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, principles and tools for equipment optimization and excellence, such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Kanban, is also beneficial.
