International Market Development Lead

    Job Summary
    Our client is seeking a seasoned professional for Lead - International Business Development in the specified region. The role demands expertise in local markets, stakeholder engagement, and the regional defense and aerospace sector, focusing on business growth and market expansion.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company’s presence in the region, with a focus on the Securities and Defence sectors. 
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities, establishing contracts and partnerships with government entities, defense contractors, and key stakeholders. 
    • Cultivate and manage client and partner relationships to ensure long-term success. 
    • Align regional market trends with the company’s global strategy to drive growth and profitability. 
    • Lead the preparation of proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
    • Monitor geopolitical trends and market developments to identify opportunities. 
    • Provide strategic leadership to the regional team and represent the company at industry events.

    Basic Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Relations, or a related discipline.  
    • 10–15 years of proven business development experience, focusing on the specified region, ideally within the defense or aerospace sector.  
    • Demonstrated success in driving growth and securing large-scale regional contracts.  
    • In-depth knowledge of local market dynamics, geopolitical considerations, and regulatory frameworks within the defense and aerospace industries.  
    • Expertise in negotiating and managing complex contracts with governments, local clients, and defense entities.  
    • Proficiency in local languages, such as English or French, is highly desirable.  
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and crafting region-specific strategies.  
    • Familiarity with export regulations, international trade laws, and compliance standards for defense products.
