Investment Banking Director

    Overview

    The Head of Investment Banking provides strategic direction and senior leadership for all investment banking activities. This role oversees equity and debt capital markets, mergers and acquisitions advisory, financial restructuring, corporate transformation, and governance consulting. The position is accountable for delivering complex financial transactions, strengthening long-term client partnerships, developing a high-performing team, and driving sustainable revenue growth and market credibility.

    Responsibilities

    1. Business Development & Strategic Advisory

    • Build, expand, and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, financial institutions, and investors

    • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across investment banking and corporate finance services

    • Serve as a senior trusted advisor, providing strategic financial guidance on high-impact decisions

    2. Investment Banking Execution

    • Equity Capital Markets (ECM): Lead advisory for initial public offerings, private placements, follow-on offerings, and equity fundraising

    • Debt Capital Markets (DCM): Advise on corporate bonds, convertible instruments, and structured debt solutions

    • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Deliver end-to-end advisory on buy-side, sell-side, divestments, and strategic alliances

    • Financial Restructuring: Develop capital structure optimization plans, improve financial performance, and enhance enterprise value

    • Corporate Transformation: Advise on organizational restructuring, legal entity reorganization, and business model changes

    • Corporate Governance Advisory: Support clients in improving governance frameworks, transparency, and board effectiveness

    3. Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead, mentor, and grow a senior investment banking team with strong execution and advisory capabilities

    • Define departmental strategy aligned with overall organizational objectives

    • Promote a results-driven, professional, and client-focused working culture

    4. Risk Management & Compliance

    • Ensure all advisory activities and transactions adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies

    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate transaction-related risks

    • Maintain strong governance standards across all investment banking activities

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Successful delivery and completion of approved ECM, DCM, and M&A transactions

    • Achievement of annual revenue and profitability targets

    • Strengthened market positioning and professional reputation within the investment banking sector

    • Development of long-term strategic relationships with clients and partners

    • Establishment of a capable, well-structured, and high-performing investment banking team

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Education & Certifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline

    • Valid securities or investment advisory license required

    • International professional certifications (e.g. CFA, CPA) are a strong advantage

    2. Professional Knowledge

    • Deep expertise in capital markets, corporate finance, M&A, and investment banking operations

    • Strong understanding of securities regulations, financial compliance, and corporate advisory frameworks

    3. Experience

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory

    • Proven track record managing and executing large-scale, complex financial transactions

    • Demonstrated leadership experience within a financial services or advisory organization

    4. Skills & Competencies

    • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding business targets

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

    • Strategic mindset with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
