Responsibilities:
- Monitor the latest technological advancements in wind turbine technology and provide insights to management.
- Stay informed about competing turbine models being sold in various countries.
- Understand the different technologies used at both turbine and component levels.
- Maintain strong connections within the wind industry to inform design with up-to-date information and knowledge.
- Possess a solid understanding of the IP rights of key stakeholders in the market.
- Have expertise in cost comparisons with top OEMs of wind turbines.
- Be knowledgeable about low-cost manufacturing countries, such as China, for technology advancements and strategic planning.
- Cultivate good relationships with wind sector publications like GWEC and McKinsey.
- Stay aware of competitors' field performance, key strengths, and technologies.
- Gather information on product advancements in technology, particularly in response to environmental challenges.
- Proficient in software applications like SAP.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering
Experience
- Minimum of 18-20 years of experience in leading a design team.
- Strong knowledge of the wind industry.
- Proven ability to prepare roadmaps and scale up operations.
