We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading commercial bank and provide comprehensive legal advisory and support to ensure compliant, efficient, and successful execution of the Bank’s business activities, projects, and strategic transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and implement internal processes, policies, and regulations within the Department/Division’s scope.
- Support the planning and execution of the Department/Division’s work plan and activities.
- Provide legal advice and draft/review contracts and transaction documents for the assigned business segment.
- Support and/or participate in legal matters relating to projects and transactions, including financial investments, M&A, capital raising, and other major Bank transactions, including document review, advisory, and negotiation support.
- Work with government authorities and business partners on legal, compliance, and negotiation matters.
- Provide legal guidance and legal updates relevant to the assigned business segment.
- Manage and coach assigned team members to ensure effective task execution and strong performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree or Lawyer Certificate is a plus)
- 5–10 years of legal experience, with strong exposure to banking, finance, or investment
- Solid knowledge of corporate law, investment, and financial regulations
- Strong legal advisory, drafting, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English (both written & spoken)
