Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring legal compliance across manufacturing operations, labor relations, and regulatory audit management. The position provides legal guidance on commercial matters, governance, and risk management to support business continuity and long-term organizational goals.
Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing and Operational Compliance
-
Regulatory Compliance for Production Facilities: Ensure required operational permits and licenses are secured and maintained to prevent production disruption.

Legal Oversight for Land, Construction & Safety: Advise on matters related to land usage, building activities, and environmental/legal compliance for long-term operation.

Operational Awareness: Provide timely legal counsel suited to the demands of an industrial and production-driven environment.
2. Labor Relations & Employment Law
-
Employment Lifecycle Compliance: Oversee legal adherence for recruitment, employment processes, and exit procedures in alignment with the Vietnam Labor Code.

Employee Relations: Support HR with labor rules, internal policies, union interactions, and collective agreements to foster a stable workforce.

Discipline & Dispute Handling: Lead legal strategy on employee grievance cases, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution including mediation or litigation when necessary.
3. Regulatory Audits & Government Interaction

Audit Readiness: Ensure all documents, systems, and processes are compliant and maintained to support successful inspections.

Primary Legal Liaison: Serve as the contact point for government inspections and manage responses to protect organizational interests.

Post-Audit Actions: Oversee corrective measures, update procedures, and prepare required responses following regulatory reviews.
4. Legal Counsel & Strategic Advice

Law Monitoring: Track legal and regulatory developments that may impact operations and provide timely guidance.

Commercial Support: Offer advice that aligns with broader business priorities and decision-making.

Risk Identification: Conduct assessments to proactively minimize legal exposure.

Reputation Protection: Review communication materials to ensure alignment with applicable regulations and minimize reputational risk.
5. Contracting & Negotiation

Contract Review: Draft and evaluate agreements supporting operational and purchasing activities.

Negotiation Role: Lead commercial contract negotiations to secure advantageous terms and risk protections.
6. Licensing & Corporate Governance
-
Governance Support: Review internal policies, resolutions, and governance structures.

License Management: Maintain operational licenses and ensure timely applications, renewals, and compliance.

Dealer Guidance: Provide legal input for licensing and compliance requirements of external partners where relevant.
7. Dispute Management & Intellectual Property

Dispute Strategy: Provide legal support and oversight across court proceedings, arbitration, and informal dispute processes.

Intellectual Property: Assist in safeguarding proprietary rights and ensuring appropriate documentation and renewals.
8. Compliance Programs & Training
-
Ethics & Compliance: Reinforce adherence to internal codes, policies, and anti-corruption requirements.

Legal Training: Deliver training sessions to improve organizational legal awareness.

Operational Support: Manage reporting, documentation, and other administrative tasks to strengthen department effectiveness.
9. Additional Tasks

Perform additional duties assigned as part of ongoing operational needs.
Requirements
1. Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Law (required); postgraduate legal study preferred.

Active lawyer certification and bar membership required.
2. Experience
-
7–10 years of legal experience in corporate, law firm, or in-house roles.

Experience with complex regulatory environments, ideally in manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Experience managing compliance audits and working with regulatory bodies preferred.

Familiarity with government policy processes beneficial.
3. Skills

Language: Strong English written and verbal communication.

Technology: Proficiency in common office software applications.

Communication: Ability to simplify complex legal matters for non-legal audiences.
