Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics and Warehouse coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in working closely with all departments to ensure the availability of required consumables and spare parts, thereby keeping the plant in smooth operation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other relevant departments to comprehend their consumables and spare parts requirements, supporting purchasing activities.
- Partner with purchasing to establish and nurture relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of necessary items at competitive prices.
- Predict demand for consumables and spare parts based on production schedules and equipment maintenance plans to maintain accurate inventory levels for operational needs.
- Assess supplier performance in conjunction with purchasing, considering factors such as quality, reliability, lead times, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers to optimize costs and secure favorable terms for the company.
- Create purchase orders, monitor shipments, and coordinate the receipt and inspection of goods.
- Supervise inventory levels and reorder thresholds to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Oversee laundry services for employee work clothes, ensuring punctual pickup and delivery.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Implement best practices in inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Welcome visitors, suppliers, and guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive initial impression of the company.
- Manage the reception area, including maintaining 5S standards and ensuring adequate stock of necessary supplies.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive background (7-10 years) in logistics and warehouse management, ideally within manufacturing settings.
- Proficient negotiation skills with a talent for cultivating supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Skilled in inventory management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective in both independent work and collaborative teamwork in dynamic environments.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
