Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all solar glass manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Create a comprehensive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment such as glass processing machines, furnaces, and conveyors.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and professional development for the maintenance team.
- Ensure effective communication between the maintenance department and other plant teams.
- Equipment & Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
- Lead root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement solutions.
- Budget & Inventory Management:
- Manage the maintenance department’s budget, controlling costs related to spare parts, labor, and external services.
- Ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and tools required for equipment maintenance.
- Negotiate with suppliers for equipment servicing, repair, and procurement of necessary materials.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with company safety standards and local environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of maintenance operations and equipment.
- Develop and enforce maintenance procedures to improve safety and reduce hazards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
- Implement innovative maintenance technologies, such as condition monitoring, predictive analytics, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and performance metrics.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance cost per unit.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on maintenance activities and equipment health.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the glass manufacturing or renewable energy (solar) sector is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, CMMS, and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
- Knowledge of safety regulations, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
