1. Company & Project Background
Our client is implementing a new large-scale and ambitious pharmaceutical project, aiming to become a leading player in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry by leveraging strengths in engineering and technology. This project requires a long-term strategic vision, with the first 3–5 years focused on building a solid foundation, which may not generate immediate profit.
Key project highlights include:
- Strategic business scope: Focus on producing and distributing high-value products such as biological products, albumin, blood-related products, and chemical drugs for cancer treatment.
- Technology & Facilities: The project has technology transferred from Cuba, with the factory located in a strategic position at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. The plant is currently undergoing infrastructure renovation.
- Human resources: An initial team of around 30 people has been established, reaching 50% of the 2025 staffing plan. Key senior positions such as Head of Support Division have been appointed, and the recruitment of a Plant Director is underway.
- Upcoming plans: The top priority is to obtain the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate. To achieve this, the company plans to conduct pilot production in early September 2025.
2. Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including a minimum of 5 years in senior executive roles (CEO, COO, Deputy General Director).
- Expertise: In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Vietnamese regulatory framework. Strong preference for candidates with strengths in sales, marketing, distribution, and deep knowledge of biological products.
- Personal qualities:
- Dedicated, committed to long-term engagement, and ready for a challenging journey.
- Preferably younger candidates to ensure agility, adaptability, and quick adjustments.
- Open-minded, creative, independent, and able to work under high pressure.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, financial management, international work experience, strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in English and a Vietnamese national.
3. Additional Requirements
- Reporting line: This position reports directly to the Client’s Executive Board.
- Timeline: The goal is to select a suitable candidate by August–September 2025.
- Second interview round requirement: Candidates must prepare and submit a document outlining their skills, vision, strategic orientation, understanding, and practical approach.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: To be discussed based on market benchmarks and candidate qualifications, as proposed by headhunting firms.
- Bonus & ESOP structure: To be determined.
