JOB SUMMARY:
Design and support the installation of mechanical equipment in heavy industrial plants, with a focus on belt conveyor systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering quality under the guidance of senior engineers and internal procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and supervise mechanical systems, particularly belt conveyors, based on standards and procedures.
- Prepare material specifications, check vendor drawings, and develop subcontract documents.
- Apply international design codes and internal engineering guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers or review their work when needed.
- Estimate budgets and monitor costs versus design scope.
- Coordinate internally across departments to ensure engineering quality throughout the project.
- Identify and escalate design changes, risks, or scope deviations in a timely manner.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance technical skills.
- Contribute ideas for improving engineering efficiency and team productivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design for heavy industry, especially with belt conveyors.
- Familiarity with cement, chemical, or mining plants and fabrication workshops.
- Proficient in belt conveyor design, technical calculations, and construction methods.
- Capable of preparing English-language technical documents and engineering proposals.
- Able to lead or contribute to technical discussions in English.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MS Office tools.
