JOB SUMMARY:
Work under the supervision of the line manager to ensure the safety, optimization, and technical soundness of utility system designs in industrial plants (cement, chemical, fertilizer, etc.), in accordance with company and international standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement utility systems: compressed air, water, gas, and related single equipment (e.g. compressors, tanks, pumps).
- Independently develop technical specifications and system requirements.
- Prepare inquiry packages, evaluate supplier proposals, and support procurement activities.
- Create P&ID diagrams and ensure documentation meets industry regulations (DIN, ISO, VDI, DGRL, TA Luft, WHG).
- Estimate budgets based on design scope and available input.
- Collaborate closely with piping engineers; basic piping knowledge is required.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery, and support.
- Maintain technical coordination across departments and report changes or risks to project leads.
- Ensure completeness of supplier documentation (e.g. certificates, test reports, CE markings).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in utility system design for industrial applications.
- Solid understanding of utility equipment and piping system integration.
- Familiar with industrial plant operations and workshop fabrication.
- Proficient in technical calculations and equipment sizing.
- Able to work independently with strong ownership.
- Fluent English (technical reading/writing and verbal communication).
- Proficient in Navisworks, MS Office; Siemens COMOS is a plus.
