OVERVIEW
The Manager is crucial in the development of water treatment solutions for industrial and municipal customers. The chosen candidate will oversee short and long-term R&D projects in collaboration with Applications Engineering and other Managers and Engineers. The The candidate will specifically evaluate and develop novel membrane and pretreatment technologies for water purification, desalination, and brine concentration applications within the ROI product and service line. The candidate will use knowledge and competency in engineering, chemistry, and scientific methods to manage cutting-edge research and development for the company's expanding water treatment solutions business worldwide.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop new water treatment and desalination technologies.
- Collect, analyze, and apply experimental data to create predictive models of the performance of water treatment and desalination systems.
- Apply models to new water chemistries, applications, and treatment goals.
- Work with membrane, pump, and instrument suppliers to ensure that lab equipment and systems perform satisfactorily and that you are up to date on product developments.
- Incorporate product advancements into R&D work.
- System information, test data, results, and recommendations should be documented in clear, concise reports for internal and external presentations.
- Create new ideas to broaden your intellectual property portfolio.
- Keep up with best practices and industry trends.
- Promote a safe and healthy workplace and use safe work practices at all times, including documenting incidents and recommending and carrying out corrective actions.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by your supervisor as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Process, Applications, or Field Service Engineering in the water industry
- Experience with membrane filtration and reverse osmosis systems.
- Understand common water and wastewater technologies.
