1. Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Roles
- Responsible for Production management & control of Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing facility.
- Responsible for Manufacturing excellence measures to benchmark international competition on Cost, Quality, and Delivery. Besides, he should be able to meet annual targets, e.g., BOM Consumption, OPEX cost reduction, quality improvements, OEE & TPM initiatives.
- Responsible for building a team of best-in-class resources in the industry and for creating a pool of successors for future expansions
- Preparation & management of departmental budgets
- Production line reviews, Communication meetings with associates & team leaders to ensure 100% production as per plan
- Responsible for Proper Manpower Planning in the Ingot-Wafer area for smooth and safe operation.
- Leading role with Process/quality department for implementing new/Improved process
- Responsible for engaging and developing a large workforce of direct and contractual manpower.
- Ensuring day-wise & shift-wise delivery volume of tools to meet ABP targets.
- Scheduling various training on chemical/material handling and safety norms to operators and team members.
- Close Cooperation with the maintenance team to reduce Breakdown & increase UP TIME.
- Monthly WIP & Shop floor inventory analysis and corrective measures.
- Responsible for Chemical Distribution System operation & compliance as per safety and EHS norms.
- Responsible for QMS in Compliance with ISO 9000:2008, ISO 14001, OHAS:18001IEC 61215, STQC, JET, JIS.
- Implementation of TQM Concept on Shop Floor like 5S,3M, JIT, Suggestion Scheme, OEE, TPM, and SMED Systems on the Production Floor.
Technology and IT Enablement
- MS Office / SAP / ERP
2. Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Required: BE/B.Tech/ME/MTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Operational, Production, or Material Engineering.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum of 20 years in relevant roles.
Key Skills and Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, particularly in silicon-based crystal growth techniques.
- Proven experience in driving internal process improvements, such as Kaizen, with a focus on safety, productivity, and cost reduction.
- In-depth understanding of crystal growth processes, including quality issues and their impact on final product quality.
- Expertise in crystalline silicon wafer manufacturing, with added value in cell and module production processes.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, safety protocols (e.g., fire safety, waste management), and related procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Key Contributions Expected (KRAs):
- Drive Plant OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvements while enhancing product quality and optimizing BOM (Bill of Materials) consumption for operational expense reduction.
- Develop and maintain a highly motivated, multi-skilled workforce to support organizational goals.
