KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop data-intensive services capable of efficiently processing large datasets.
- Craft well-structured databases that meet both functional requirements and performance needs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that prioritizes long-term maintainability.
- Continuously improve code quality through refactoring practices.
- Proactively monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot system failures.
- Share your knowledge and mentor junior and mid-level developers within the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and best practices
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance optimization techniques
- Experience designing and implementing complex system architectures with API integrations
- Proven ability to monitor and optimize application performance
- Experience with unit testing methodologies
- Deep understanding of web security principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Prior experience leading development projects as a team leader
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Experience managing services in a production environment
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (TypeScript, ReactJS/VueJS)
- Prior experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
