Key Responsibilities:
- Source, build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers; effectively control supplier or project implementation.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable terms for the organization; optimize costs through effective negotiation, bulk purchasing, and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Collect and integrate market information, develop supply-side resources, and complete procurement strategy planning; monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Dynamically evaluate suppliers, including improving the existing supplier pool, developing new suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, and managing relationships with certified suppliers.
- Monitor contract implementation and delivery acceptance; handle abnormal issues; ensure compliance with contractual agreements and resolve disputes; keep contracts updated with changing business requirements.
- Guide internal stakeholders on procurement processes and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with EV Search's Client Global policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience sourcing equipment from China to the United States is a must; 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or vendor management experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, E-Commerce, etc. industries; proven track record in building and managing a team from scratch.
- Experience working with Chinese suppliers.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up; ability to work well under pressure and prioritize competing deliverables.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
