Job Responsibility:
- Initiate and implement strategic purchasing plans to ensure consistent and efficient procurement operations.
- Develop cost-effective sourcing strategies for materials to support production and operational needs.
- Evaluate procurement activities and spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and improved delivery timelines.
- Establish and implement risk management procedures to minimize impact from material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
- Conduct regular cost analyses and set performance benchmarks for continuous improvement.
- Proactively research, identify, and assess potential suppliers to ensure a competitive and reliable vendor base that aligns with company standards.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers regarding specifications, pricing, and volume to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including non-conformance to agreed specifications or delivery terms.
- Oversee and verify supplier performance in terms of delivery schedules, product quality, and quantity, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and building long-term supplier relationships.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with a focus on detail, planning, and time management.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to oversee procurement processes and drive team performance.
