Role Objective
The QA Vice Manager ensures the effective operation of the QA–QC department, maintains the integrity of ISO and FSC systems, and oversees product quality from raw materials to finished goods; supports in customer audits, quality evaluations, and leads the QA/QC team in continuous improvement and KPI achievement.
The role is also responsible for managing product quality for international export markets such as Japan, the United States, and Malaysia.
Job Description
- Manage all QA standards to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Lead new product development activities: technical requirements, testing, trial runs, and evaluations.
- Standardize quality requirements between Axus and ISC.
- Develop procedures, guidelines, and work instructions for Production and QA departments.
- Ensure incoming materials and finished goods meet customer and internal quality standards.
- Support QA Manager during customer audits and visits.
- Work with customers during product inspections and evaluations.
- Track, analyze, and report customer feedback and audit results.
- Support Customer Service team with customer-related quality requirements.
- Manage customer complaints, corrective actions, preventive actions, and improvement activities.
- Oversee PPAP, sample creation, and pilot production runs.
- Control sample approval processes and printing die approvals.
- Analyze factory quality data and performance metrics.
- Report substandard raw material quality and coordinate periodic debit notes with Axus.
- Lead the team to resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement across daily operations and project-based initiatives.
- Conduct training for supervisors, QA specialists, and team leaders on quality control, inspection methods, improvement, and defect standards.
- Plan and allocate monthly manpower for QA activities.
- Perform Gemba walks to identify issues affecting product quality.
- Report all key quality issues to the QA Manager.
- Ensure chemical compliance of products and materials according to current European standards.
- Serve as secretary for ISO 9001:2015, FSC CoC, PEFC CoC, and the sample development committee.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management tools: problem-solving, reporting, process establishment.
- Knowledge of LEAN, FMEA, Six Sigma is a strong advantage.
- Improvement mindset, willing to learn, good communication and teamwork spirit.
- Ability to work under high pressure.
- English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Ability to travel domestics and international.
Working Schedule & Transportation
- Working hours: 8:00 – 17:00, Monday to Saturday
- Transportation: Company shuttle bus provided. Shuttle route: Hanoi ⇄ Hung Yen
