QA/QC Manager

    Key responsibilities:

    Quality System Development & Management

    • Design and implement end-to-end quality control processes, including:
    • Incoming Material Inspection (IMI)
    • During Production Inspection (DPI)
    • Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
    • Container Loading Inspection (CLI)
    • Incoming Quality Control (IQC) at destination warehouses
    • Develop and maintain product specific quality standards for categories such as handbags, fashion accessories, jewelry, perfumes, and related consumer products.
    • Establish and manage a Defect Library, including defect images, classification of defect severity (Critical, Major, Minor), and corresponding corrective actions.
    • Develop QC reporting templates, communication channels, and collaboration procedures with internal and external stakeholders.

    Supplier & Factory Quality Management

    • Work closely with factories and suppliers to ensure compliance with company quality standards and requirements.
    • Identify quality issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Monitor supplier quality performance and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.

    Team Management

    • Recruit, train, and manage QC Inspectors based in China.
    • Coach and evaluate team performance to ensure consistency and effectiveness in quality inspection activities.
    • Allocate tasks and supervise execution quality across the inspection team.

    Third-Party Quality Inspection Management

    • Coordinate and manage independent Third Party QC Agencies.
    • Schedule inspections, review inspection reports, and evaluate service quality of external inspection partners.
    • Ensure inspection outcomes align with the company’s quality standards and expectations.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

    • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, and Logistics teams.
    • Consolidate and analyze quality data, including defect rates, recurring issues, and quality related costs.
    • Prepare and present periodic quality reports to the Supply Chain Department and Senior Management.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and factories in China and regional stakeholders.

    Requirements

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), or Quality Management.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role overseeing QC operations.
    • Proven experience working directly with factories and suppliers in China.
    • Experience in fashion accessories, handbags, jewelry, perfumes, or related consumer goods industries.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management methodologies.
    • Proven experience in building QC systems, quality standards, and inspection procedures.
    • Excellent root cause analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

    Languages

    • Fluent Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate and work effectively in a business environment.
    • Proficiency in English is an advantage.
