Key responsiblilities:
Factory Quality Inspection (70%)
- Conduct on site quality inspections at supplier manufacturing facilities.
- Perform quality control activities throughout different inspection stages, including: IQC (Incoming Quality Control), IPQC (In Process Quality Control), FQC (Final Quality Control)
- Apply AQL sampling standards (AQL 2.5 / 4.0) during inspection processes.
- Inspect product appearance, dimensions, construction, workmanship, and finishing quality.
- Take photos, document findings, and classify defects according to severity levels: Critical Defect, Major Defect, Minor Defect
- Make Pass, Fail, or Hold decisions on site and communicate inspection results to relevant stakeholders.
Reporting & Coordination (20%)
- Complete QC inspection reports using standard reporting templates after each inspection.
- Upload and update inspection results in the system within the required timeline.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Work closely with Sourcing, Purchasing, and other relevant departments throughout the quality inspection process.
Supplier Evaluation & Quality Issue Management (10%)
- Support new supplier assessments through factory audits and site evaluations.
- Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, quality management systems, and factory operating conditions.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for major quality issues.
- Follow up on corrective actions, re inspections, and supplier improvement plans.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands on QC experience in factories manufacturing handbags, leather goods, or fashion accessories.
- Candidates with experience working with international brands or export oriented manufacturers are highly preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of AQL sampling methodology based on ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 standards.
- Experience applying AQL 2.5 for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects.
- Ability to classify defects according to Critical, Major, and Minor categories.
- Good understanding of materials commonly used in handbags and fashion accessories, including: PU Leather, Genuine Leather, Microfiber Leather, Canvas, Nylon, Polyester
- Familiarity with key product components, including: Zippers, Metal Hardware, Linings, Foam Reinforcement Components, Straps and Related Accessories
- Strong understanding of the handbag manufacturing process from material cutting through final assembly and packaging.

- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Ability to make independent decisions based on established quality standards.
- Willingness to reject non compliant shipments, even under supplier pressure.
- Willingness to travel frequently between factories across Guangdong Province.
