R&D Director

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Leadership & Management

    • R&D Strategy: Advise the Board of Directors on the overall R&D strategy, technology roadmap, and investment plans (machinery, software, facilities) for the entire system.

    • Operational Excellence: Manage the R&D Center, establishing unified standards for design, testing, validation, and certification across the organization.

    • Resource Management: Build standard competency frameworks, oversee recruitment and training for R&D personnel, and manage the department’s budget and investment efficiency.

    2. Coordination with Member Companies (Subsidiaries)

    • Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact connecting the HQ with technical, production, and R&D departments of subsidiary factories.

    • Technical Support: Assist subsidiaries with technical solutions, production technologies, quality standards, error analysis, and product improvement.

    • Synchronization: Ensure consistency in technology, standards, and technical platforms across all member companies.

    3. Product & Technology Development

    • Innovation: Define the strategic product portfolio and research global technology trends and international standards to guide development.

    • Project Management: Oversee the portfolio of R&D projects across the system, ensuring commercialization efficiency.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.

      • Preferred: MBA/EMBA, PMP, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor certifications.

    • Experience:

      • 8-10 years of experience in R&D (preferably in Electrical/Electrical Equipment).

      • Minimum 3-5 years in a Senior Management role.

      • Strong background in System-wide R&D management, working with multiple subsidiaries/units, and Mass Production development.

    • Technical Knowledge:

      • Deep understanding of R&D processes, production technologies, safety standards, and quality certifications.

      • Experience working with testing labs and certification bodies.

      • Proficiency in R&D project management software (Jira, MS Project, etc.) and knowledge of ERP/PLM systems.

    • Skills:

      • Strong strategic thinking and budget management.

      • Excellent English (technical reading/writing and communication with foreign experts).
