Key Responsibilities
1. AI Governance Framework Development

Strategic Design: Build and maintain a robust AI governance framework that integrates local regulations (e.g., Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on Personal Data Protection, the upcoming Data Law, and Digital Technology Industry Law) with global best practices.

Alignment: Ensure AI governance is seamlessly integrated with existing enterprise data governance and strategic data objectives.

Ethical Leadership: Drive the implementation of core ethical AI principles, focusing on transparency, fairness, accountability, and ethics.
2. Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance

Risk Mitigation: Partner with Legal, Risk, and IT Security departments to identify, monitor, and neutralize risks inherent in AI/ML models.

Policy Enforcement: Ensure all AI systems operate within internal risk appetite and meet evolving domestic regulatory expectations.

Regulatory Intelligence: Act as the primary monitor for emerging global and domestic AI-related legal developments.
3. AI Lifecycle Oversight

Governance Checkpoints: Design and enforce "gates" across the AI lifecycle, from initial use-case intake and development to validation and post-deployment monitoring.

Traceability & Documentation: Work with Data Science and Business teams to ensure rigorous documentation, data lineage, and decision traceability are embedded in every model.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Education

Cultural Awareness: Lead workshops and training programs to foster a culture of responsible AI and policy awareness throughout the bank.

Committee Advisory: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal data and AI committees, providing strategic advice on risk and policy implications.

External Liaison: Represent the organization in discussions with regulators and industry working groups regarding responsible AI practices in Vietnam.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of total professional experience.

At least 5+ years specifically in Data Governance, AI/ML Governance, or Model Risk Management (ideally within the banking or financial services sector).

Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of the Vietnamese regulatory landscape regarding data and AI, alongside familiarity with global frameworks (e.g., OECD, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act).

Communication: Exceptional communication skills in both English and Vietnamese, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and legal teams.
Preferred Skills

Technical Tooling: Hands-on experience with data catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra) or AI lifecycle/governance tools (e.g., MLflow, DataRobot).

Analytical Mindset: Ability to audit and assess complex AI/ML models from a compliance and governance perspective.

Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to translate high-level, abstract regulatory concepts into clear, actionable operational policies.
