Senior Regional Commodity Manager

    Location: HCMC, Vietnam

    Responsibilities

    1. Leadership and Management:

    ●  Recruitment:

    ○  Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for Commodity Managers.

    ○  Ensure criteria are effectively communicated to recruiters.

    ●  Employee Development:

    ○  Identify individual and team strengths and development needs.

    ○  Create and validate training curricula.

    ○  Coach and mentor team members to deliver excellence.

    ○  Manage succession plans within Commodity Management.

    ●  Performance Management:

    ○  Establish measurable goals and objectives.

    ○  Solicit ongoing feedback from relevant stakeholders.

    ○  Provide continuous coaching and counseling.

    ○  Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics.

    ● Communication:
    ○ Facilitate regular communication forums.

    ○  Adapt communication styles to individual team members.

    ○  Encourage team input and idea exchange.

    2. Functional Management:

    ●  Strategy Development:

    ○  Contribute to the corporation's strategic direction.

    ○  Develop and implement supply chain and commodity strategies.

    ○  Regularly update management on strategy execution.

    ●  Business Planning:

    ○ Create and manage comprehensive business plans for assigned commodities.

    ● Cost Management:

    ○  Innovate to reduce costs and streamline processes.

    ○  Utilize cost analysis tools effectively.

    ○  Provide feedback on cost trends to peers and management.

    3. Technical Management:

    ●  Commodity Expertise:

    ○  Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned commodities and overall supply

    chain management.

    ○  Stay updated on market trends and technological advancements.

    ●  Global Strategy:

    ○  Develop a global commodity infrastructure that supports business growth.

    ○  Implement global commodity strategies to ensure alignment with business

    objectives.

    ●  Supply Base Development:

    ○  Cultivate a robust supply base that meets organizational goals.

    ○  Ensure the supply base exceeds performance expectations.

    ●  Market Analysis:

    ○  Analyze market conditions to ensure supply and price competitiveness.

    ○  Develop and implement supply chain strategies that respond to market

    dynamics.

    ● Customer Focus:

    ○  Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service.

    ○  Prioritize and resolve customer issues effectively.

    ○  Foster strong relationships with Business Unit Management and customers.

    ●  Continuous Improvement:

    ○  Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis and metrics

    management.

    ○  Implement best practices and innovative processes.

    ●  Knowledge Exchange:

    ○  Ensure efficient knowledge transfer within the organization.

    ○  Share best practices across teams and departments.

    ●  Compliance:

    ○  Adhere to all safety, health, and security regulations.

    ○  Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.

    Requirements

    ●  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.

    ●  Minimum of ten years’ experience in materials management.

    ●  Five years’ experience with metal and plastic fabrication at the manufacturing level.

    ●  APICS certification required.

    ●  Proven track record in developing and implementing global commodity strategies.

    ●  Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
