1. Responsibilities
- Locate, get in touch with, and explain the company's services to potential clients.
- Foster ties with current clients
- Possess stable clients who can bring business to international clients
- With assistance from the customer care department, create the quotation in accordance with the clients' requests.
- Enter into agreements with clients
- Track the shipments: up to the customers' needs, from the time the cargo is received at the warehouse until the final destination Check the B/L and provide the final documentation for import shipments to the import team prior to ETA.
- Within one day of the ETD/ETA, provide work orders for these shipments to the operation department, assist the accounting department in meeting customer requests, and monitor customer payments
- Update the HR's Outlook calendar to reflect schedule changes
- Write weekly sales reports and other reports requested by the country sales manager, branch manager, or country manager
- Build and expand customer networks to meet monthly volume and profit goals
- Gather market data and comments for the country's sales manager or sales supervisor
- Inform clients about their shipments and available services
- Send and receive information from all overseas offices and exchange sales leads
- Negotiate final overseas pricing for EXW/DDU/DDP shipments with overseas agencies
2. Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in economics, international trade, or maritime studies
- At least five years of sales experience in shipping, logistics, or forwarding
- Above 30
- Good relationships with shipping lines/carriers
- Ability to identify the source of FCL cargos
- Strong negotiating, communication, and presentation abilities
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Sales-oriented and achievement-driven
- Initiative, persuasive, and proactive; team player with the ability to work independently
